Observing Your Pupils, exhibit at the curiocity Science Center in Freising

How do your eyes respond to light?

Observe how your pupils automatically dilate or constrict under different lighting conditions.

The Science Behind It

The pupil is the opening in the eye through which light enters. Muscles control it and adjust it unconsciously. In bright light, the pupil constricts to protect the eye. In dim light, it widens to let more light in. This mechanism works automatically and helps you see well under different lighting conditions.
