MINT Garage
Since 2016, volunteer coaches have inspired children ages 8 to 14 to discover, experiment, and create.
A workshop for hands-on discovery
Every third Saturday of the month, our space becomes a small workshop for kids: soldering electronic kits, building with LEGO Education, analyzing pH levels, cracking mathematical codes, or exploring the mechanics of cardboard automata. A new topic every month. No prior knowledge needed—just curiosity.
Participation is free. We welcome a donation of €10 per child to cover material costs.
Entirely volunteer-run
Around 20 volunteer coaches run the MINT Garage, mainly people from scientific and technical professions who want to share their enthusiasm for science with children. The team is led by Julia and Sebastian.
At home on the TUM campus
The premises at Blumenstraße 16 are made available to us by the Technical University of Munich on the Weihenstephan university campus.
